This was the first time I ever met Move D, I was booked by Alex Traska to play with Move D on a Sunday afternoon in Saltwater in Nottingham and I remember it being a very ‘wonky’ time - pretty sure I was hitting the Wray and Nephews by this point of the weekend. Defo some shady mixing on here!
David actually recorded the whole thing as I think he had a zoom or something so he kindly sent me the recording. It’s nice to hear a snapshot of what I was playing back then - and there’s also some unreleased Hot Coins stuff - which ended up on the ‘Laissez Faire’ EP which was released on Society Records by my friend Solid State.
There’s a lot of slow stuff on this mix - I think it gets slower as it goes on.
